THE STORY

“For there shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be."

Roman-Jewish historian Josephus wrote that in 70 A.D., the Jews were crucified by Rome till there was no more wood for making crosses; of thousands of the people slaying one another in their fierce faction fights within the city; of so many of them being sold for slaves that they became a drug in the market, and all but valueless; and of the fearful carnage when the Romans at length entered the doomed capital.

The Roman army ran every one through whom they met with, and obstructed the very lanes with their dead bodies, and made the whole city run down with blood, to such a degree indeed that the fire of many of the houses was quenched with these men's blood.

The destruction of Jerusalem was more terrible than anything that the world has ever witnessed, either before or since.

THE PRODUCTION

THE ART & TECHNOLOGY OF IMMERSIVE STORYTELLING

The first century based short film, THE NARROW PATH was conceived over seven years ago when the film's producers,  Frank C. Schroeder and Charles Bush, III wanted to take the lessons they learned from The Visual Bible project to create powerful, next-generation, immersive entertainment experiences.

This first required Majesty Pictures acquisition of millions of dollars of digital and physical assets combined with cutting-edge entertainment technology to produce their upcoming major motion picture, ROAR – THE JAWS OF THE LION.

As part of ROAR's technology testing process, Richard Zeringue (the actor recently appearing in Captain Marvel) was cast to play the role of the Apostle Paul.  It was through these collaborations that led to Mr. Zeringue writing the screenplay for this epic short film.

The film’s award-winning director, Michael Everett from California, joined together with the rest of the Louisiana team to help build a totally new virtual production process that would allow large-scale, life-changing stories such as THE NARROW PATH to be told.

The film was shot on a RED 8k Helium digital camera and the visual effects were built by Lead VFX Artist of Audacious FX, Dwayne Dupre in Epic Games' Unreal Engine.
